Connecting channels

Connections are per-project - a project has its own X account, its own Facebook Page, and so on, just like Analytics connections.

Free to connect

The Channels tab itself is free on every plan - connecting accounts never requires Pro, only actually composing/scheduling/publishing does (see Trial & Pro).

Networks

Seven networks connect. Five can actually post through Astrodesk:

  • X (Twitter) - 280 characters, or up to 25,000 if the connected account has X Premium (detected automatically from the account, not something you set).
  • Threads - 500 characters.
  • Instagram - 2,200 characters. Works best with media attached.
  • Facebook - 63,206 characters. Connects the first Page you manage.
  • LinkedIn - 3,000 characters.

Two connect but can't post yet - you can link the account, but posting isn't wired up:

  • TikTok - posting coming later.
  • Reddit - posting coming soon.

Instagram requires a Business account linked to a Facebook Page - connect Facebook first if you haven't.

Connection card

Once connected, a card shows the account's username and a verified badge if applicable. Use Refresh profile to re-check the display name/avatar/verified status without disconnecting, or Disconnect to remove it entirely.
