Custom agents
When a catalog agent isn't enough, build your own on the canvas. Describe the workflow in chat, or compose nodes by hand. Custom agents show up on the same project dashboard.
Open the canvas
From the project agents dashboard, choose Build a custom agent (or open an existing custom agent card). You get a node canvas plus an Astro AI chat that can add and wire nodes for you.
Building blocks
- Triggers: schedule, webhook, or manual run.
- Integrations / sources: GitHub, analytics providers, and other tools you've connected.
- Logic: branching and AI steps.
- Actions: drafts, notifications, writes you approve.
Lifecycle
Custom agents can be deactivated (removed from the dashboard) or deleted. Deactivate keeps history available to rebuild; delete is permanent after confirmation.
